Getting Started ​

Welcome to Cast Nugget! This guide will help you get started with our platform so you can begin saving and sharing your favorite moments from YouTube videos.

1. Create an Account ​

Before you can start creating nuggets, you'll need to create an account. You can do this by registering with either an email account or a Google account.

1.1 Register with an Email Account ​

To register with an email account:

  • Go to the Cast Nugget website.
  • Click on the "Sign Up" or "Register" button.
  • Fill out the registration form with your email address and password.
  • Check your email inbox for a verification link and follow the instructions to verify your account.

1.2 Register with a Google Account ​

Alternatively, you can register using your Google account:

  • Click on the "Sign Up with Google" button.
  • Follow the prompts to sign in with your Google account.
  • Grant permission for Cast Nugget to access your Google account information.

2. Start Creating Nuggets ​

Once you have created an account, you can start creating nuggets from your favorite YouTube videos.

2.1 Account Verification (If Registered with Email) ​

If you registered with an email account, you'll need to verify your account before you can start creating nuggets. Simply follow the instructions provided in the verification email.

2.2 Adding a Nugget ​

To add a nugget:

  • Click on the "Add Nugget" button.
  • Paste the YouTube video URL into the designated box.
  • Click "Continue" to proceed.

2.3 Creating a Nugget ​

After adding a YouTube video, you'll be taken to the Create Nugget page:

  • Nugget List: Located at the top, scroll horizontally to view existing nuggets.
  • YouTube Video Player: Positioned on the bottom left, similar to YouTube's player.
  • Nugget Input: Bottom right, with fields for start timestamp, end timestamp, and nugget content.

2.4 Setting Timestamps and Saving a Nugget ​

To create a nugget:

  • Play the video and click "Set" on the start timestamp to begin the clip.
  • Click "Set" on the end timestamp to finish the clip.
  • Optionally, type in the nugget content.
  • Click "Save" to save the nugget.

2.5 Editing and Deleting Nuggets ​

After saving a nugget, it will appear in the nugget area. You can edit or delete it as needed.
